Robert Mesa is a multidisciplinary artist and actor, proudly part of the Navajo Nation and the Soboba Band of Mission Indians. He creates immersive works that blend traditional and contemporary techniques, gaining recognition with a significant exhibition at the Ningbo Museum of Art in China and showcasing his art in Shanghai, reaching audiences as far as New York and LA. His latest series features striking gold leaf pieces paired with hand-colored photographs. As an actor, Robert is known for portraying Dr. Chee on Grey’s Anatomy and his role in Dark Winds Season Two. Additionally, he plays Naataani in Naataani’s Story on Accused, further enriching his diverse artistic portfolio. Beyond his artistic endeavors, Robert is dedicated to advocacy work with the Ukrainians of New Mexico, delivering medical kits and drones to Ukraine. He is also actively involved in supporting the foster care system in New Mexico, using his platform to uplift and empower marginalized communities. With a unique blend of creativity and storytelling, Robert continues to inspire and connect with audiences worldwide.
